A super fast jersey dress in a border print fabric

I'm having a productive sewing week! I've decided I cannot start a new sewing project until I have finished all the ones that are in progress on my sewing table. These consist of things I promised myself I would fix. Those pants I was going to turn into shorts, a few sewing fails waiting to be rescued.... basically, the less exciting stuff. But, since I've made 5 to 6pm my dedicated sewing time, I have been finishing them off one by one. It feels great! Fortunately, there was one fun project on the table too: a dress for my daughter with...

Fabric: 1.2m of Soft Cactus fabric (excluding lining) Size made: Size 7 width, size 9 length ------------------------------------- Today I am joining the blog tour from Sewpony, the celebrate the launch of her latest sewing pattern: The Tic Tac Toe Dress. It is another wonderful vintage inspired design and I love it. I've been wanting to make a dress in this lovely Blowballs fabric from Soft Cactus for a while and now was the perfect opportunity. I just added 2 inches of height at the top so I could fold this over to insert...

I made Hudson pants!

Pattern: Hudson Pants by True Bias Fabric: 1.5m of Denim from Art Gallery Fabrics ---------------------------------- I finally made  a pair of pants for myself! And I'm pretty happy! You see, I've been wanting a loose fitting pair of pants since last summer, and I simply could not find one in the stores. Because of my pear shape none of them would fit properly. If they had to fit over my hips,  they would be too wide at the waist. Because of this, I would have to adjust any pants pattern and I wasn't sure if it would then all still look ok....
