It's a new year! And no better way to start it then with a bit of fabric love!
Soft Cactus has just released their 5th collection and I must admit, it is probably my favourite one so far.
The concept remains the same: fun prints designed in colour sets, so the fabrics can be mixed and matched.
All printed on high-quality cotton fabric (hello circle skirts)!
And they always come with very fun names. Like the sound of "Tickling Toes" or "Marching Marbles"?
Today I wanted to focus on one of the colour sets, of which all fabrics were selected for our store. It comes with the lovely name: Misty Cress Peach Green.
Oh what to sew? what to sew?
Here's some inspiration for you: a range of garments made with these gorgeous fabrics including which patterns were used.
Fabric: Lightning Lily - Pastel Turquoise
Pattern: République du Chiffon - mini Suzon Blouse
Made by: Yabelle & Co
Fabric: Marching Marbles - Pastel Pink
Pattern: Japanese pattern book.
If you like this look, this pattern is somewhat similar.
Made by: Yabelle & Co
Details to note: Gold piping was added which is such a beautiful combination with this fabric.
This print is also available in Pastel Turquoise.
Fabric: Mazing Maths - Mustard/Ochre
Pattern: République du chiffon - Mini Adèle dress
Made by: Yabelle & Co
Details to note: This print also combines really well with gold.
And finally, these fabrics make for some pretty cool bags too!
These fabrics are suitable for most of the sewing patterns available in the shop.
How about the Tinny dress by Straightgrain, or the Illeana dress from Compagnie M?
I've also added these fabrics to our sewing kits.
In my next blog post I will be sharing my favourite fabric combinations!
Which one is your favourite design?
