This asymmetrical skirt is all about a surprising interplay of lines. The slanted hem and the slit at the front create movement and give the design its distinctive silhouette. The yoke at the back adds a subtle trench coat vibe to the design. An invisible zip ensures a clean finish and draws all the attention to the unique cut. RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
Choose a woven fabric with enough body to show off the asymmetrical shape and different layers. Think cotton, gabardine, twill, denim or a light wool. A checked, striped or other graphic pattern adds a nice touch: the different directions of the pattern pieces emphasise the interplay of lines even more. For a softer look, you could also use a slightly more supple fabric, provided it isn’t too thin and retains sufficient structure.
