Wallis is the perfect mid-season dress that can be worn with sneakers or a pair of boots. The dress has been designed with attention to detail.  It features a rounded collar edged with a ruffle. The front bodice has a button fastening, and the dress has a gathered skirt. Wallis also has beautifully designed sleeves. With this pattern, you will learn how to make a blouse placket and cuffs with gathers.

SIZING: 34 to 52

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS (For a width of 140cm):

  • 34 - 40 = 1.8m 
  • 42 - 52 = 2m 

SUPPLIES:

  • 8 buttons (approx. 12 cm diameter)
  • Approximately 50 cm of bias binding (you could make your own self-fabric bias binding)
  • Fusible interfacing (approximately 30 cm)

RECOMMENDED FABRIC:

The dress in the photos was made in cotton gauze, but you can use any fabric you like: cotton, chambray, poplin, double gauze, linen, tencel, viscose, or broderie anglaise.
