RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
To achieve the full effect of Odell’s statement sleeves, opt for a fabric with structure. Lightweight, drapey fabrics won’t hold the sleeve shape as well. The best choices include easy-to-sew fabrics like cotton and linen, as well as sturdier options like canvas, denim, and baby corduroy.
This pattern is also a great opportunity for fabric mixing—perfect for using up leftover fabric scraps! If you choose to mix fabrics, make sure all sleeve pieces have a similar stiffness for a cohesive look.
