Description

The Hygge is a lined, sleeveless, zipped vest/body warmer/gilet (depending on where you live!). There are options for a straight or curved back hem, collar or hood, optional welt pockets and optional ribbed arm cuffs and optional zip guard.

SKILL LEVEL: Adventurous Beginner - Intermediate.

SIZING: Ages from 0/3 months  - 12 years.

SUPPLIES:
You will need a scrap of light/medium interfacing for the welt pockets.

An open zip - chunky zip recommended

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
Main Fabric: The pattern is designed for medium/heavy woven/non-stretch fabrics such as wool blends, padded nylon, tweed, soft-shell etc. The lining should be a soft, warm fabric such as fleece, sherpa, teddy etc. You can use knit (stretch) fabrics for either the outer or the inner. If you use knit fabrics for both the outer and the inner then your garment will fit a little larger than expected.

Ribbing: Chunky ribbing works well, but whatever you choose, it is vital it has excellent recovery (goes back to its original shape and size after being stretched).
