The Double Bubble Skirt is a wonderfully simple and super cute skirt pattern. There are options for a yoga waistband or elasticated waistband. You can make and add fabric flower embellishments.

SUPPLIES:
For the yoga waistband, you need a cotton/Lycra jersey with excellent stretch and recovery.

For the elasticated waistband, you need 15mm elastic for baby sizes and 25mm elastic for child sizes.

All options require 6mm elastic to gather the hem. You can use slightly wider elastic if necessary.


RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
This pattern can be made from a wide variety of fabrics, both knit and woven. Light/medium wovens such as poplin, lawn and chambray are easy to sew and create a great ‘bubble’ effect.
Light/medium knit fabrics such as cotton/Lycra jersey are soft and comfortable to wear. Knit fabrics will create a softer silhouette.
