The Celia Dress is a classic, long length dress with a collar, lapels, two-piece sleeves and an optional tie belt. It can be made in a wide variety of fabrics to suit different times of the year. Cottons and linens work very well for summer wearing, while light wool suiting could be used for a warmer winter dress.
Your choice of fabric can completely change how the garment feels. Some fabrics will elevate the piece to feel like a very smart dress, while a more casual fabric will result in a garment that feels more comfortable and easy. Whether it’s for a summer holiday, everyday wear or for a wedding, you’ll be able to create many different versions of this dress.

Fabric requirements:
150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 12, 260 cm // Sizes 14 – 20, 280 cm // Sizes 22 – 28, 320 cm.
110 cm wide fabric: Sizes 4 – 12, 320 cm // Sizes 14 – 20, 370 cm // Sizes 22 – 28, 440 cm.
Notions:
* 7 x buttons (roughly 1.5cm in diameter)
* 1 metre of mid/light-weight iron on fusing
* Thread in a colour of your choice
* For this pattern we use SELF fabric for the pocket bags. If you’d prefer to use
lighter weight pocketing - you’ll need a 40cm x 100cm strip.
