For a functional, slightly sporty jacket, choose a lightweight, soft woven fabric such as polyester microfiber, nylon, or a lightweight softshell (without fleece). For a casual jacket, choose Sweater fabric, French terry, or heavy jersey – preferably with a bit of stretch.
