This Washed Organic Denim is perfect for creating relaxed handmade garments, it is a light to medium weight organic denim fabric with a lovely natural texture and drapey handle. Unlike heavier denim intended for structured jeans, this fabric has enough movement to work beautifully in loose fitting and flowy garments. It is fabulous for dresses, skirts, shirts and loose fitting pants rather than a regular pair of jeans.
Made from 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton, this hemp cotton denim combines two natural fibres in a comfortable woven fabric. The medium weight of 215gsm gives it useful substance without making the fabric overly heavy, while the drapey construction allows garments to fall naturally around the body.
The fabric comes in a versatile blue shade with a softly textured appearance. Its drape makes it particularly useful when you want the visual character of denim without the stiffness associated with heavier rigid denim.
