The Tribeca blouse/dress is a pattern that, under its classic exterior, will give you the opportunity to let your creativity speak. This design allows you to play with materials, colours, and the transparency of the fabrics. Its carefully positioned cutouts nicely highlight the bust. Many variations are available: as a blouse or shirt, as a dress with or without buttons on the front and with or without decorative bias to highlight the yoke bands. Its cut is slightly fitted for a feminine and comfortable fall.

AVAILABLE SIZES: 34 - 52

DIFFICULTY: Intermediate to Advanced, the technical points are the careful installation of the yokes and bias strips, the tear-proof slit with the assembly of the cuff for the buttoned cuff version and the installation of the neckline bias, the button placket for the buttoned front dress/blouse version.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS (For a width of 140cm):

  • Blouse without band (& with band): 34-36 = 130cm (150 cm), 38-46 = 150cm (170cm), 48-52 = 165cm (185cm)
  • Unbuttoned (& Buttoned) dress: 34-36 = 210cm (190 cm), 38-46 = 240cm (220cm), 48-52 = 270cm (250cm)

  • 20cm of G710 iron-on Interfacing
  • 4x 10-15mm buttons (buttoned cuff version)
  • 7x 10-15mm buttons (buttoned dress version)
  • 6x 10-15mm buttons (buttoned blouse version)

SUGGESTED FABRICS: Lightweight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with more or less hold depending on the desired result. Be careful, as your fabric must mark well with the iron without deforming too much. Good fabrics to choose from are: viscose, tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin, or twill. Openwork fabrics will also be interesting for this model, especially since the neckline's cleanliness is achieved with a bias.
