Gingham Double Gauze by Atelier Brunette is a soft and lightweight double gauze fabric with a reversible gingham pattern. One side features smaller checks of approximately 5mm, while the other has larger checks measuring around 10mm. This gives you two pattern scales to choose from and allows you to introduce contrast when using both sides in the same garment.
Made from 100% high-quality double cotton gauze, this fabric weighs 135 g/m² and has a medium drape with no stretch. The lightweight construction makes it comfortable for everyday garments, while the double gauze structure gives it the soft character associated with this fabric type. It is also Oeko-Tex Certified to Standard 100 and BCI certified.
The Lemon colourway combines an off-white base with a fresh lemon yellow check. The two check sizes give the fabric subtle variation depending on which side you use, making it easy to create a simple gingham garment or add contrasting sections to a more detailed make.
This cotton double gauze is suitable for tops, skirts and dresses. Pre-wash it before cutting and sewing, as the fabric has an estimated shrinkage of 3% to 5%. Machine wash at 30°C with a medium spin and do not tumble dry to care for the finished fabric.
