Sewing with knits part 2: I sewed a top for my husband!

So this finally happened... I made a piece of clothing for my husband! 
I even managed to convince him to pose in his new top. He turned out to be a lot more comfortable with modelling  than I am!
This jersey is super soft and feels really lightweight while it has quite a bit of body (volume) to it.

I cut the pattern piece for the front into 3 pieces and added seam allowance. Then I used 3 different orientations when placing the pieces on the fabric before cutting. It is really handy if you draw arrows on the pattern pieces first, to match the direction of the stripes.
It is a pretty cool effect, and a complete copy of what the fabric & pattern designer Sharon from Zonen09 has done, so I can't take credit for the idea. But I'm still very happy with the result.
It should keep him nice and warm this winter.
