The overshirt sewing pattern is straightforward. The instructions will introduce you to sewing a double yoke, convertible collar, and cuffs. If you are more adventurous, you can try the welt pockets.
make your overshirt sewing pattern in medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, wool, or other comfortable fabric. Choose interfacing that works with the weight of the fabric.
I made these for my slender 14 year old in stretch green pinwale with antique copper hardware. I cut a size 6, added some length to the legs and took 2cm per side width out of the back. The pattern instructions are easy to follow though I would love it if every second size, rather than every size, was printed on one pattern sheet as this would improve ease of cutting. Maaike always sources good quality fabrics and the pinwale is easy to work with.
