The Gold Metallic Unikko (poppy) pattern is printed onto this unbleached cotton linen blend, which has a natural rustic feel. Fabric is printed in Helsinki.
This is the medium print which has a repeat of about 88cm. The image shows the full width of the fabric. Each flower is roughly 20cm wide.
The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Unikko, one of the most recognized Marimekko print designs in the world. Piirto Unikko is a stylized, airy variation of the beloved floral created by Maija Isola in 1964. It nods to minimalism while emphasizing the graphic lines of the Unikko pattern.
