A pair of glamorous pyjamas

I am on the internet in my pyjamas.... life will never be the same again... Well not really, but this modelling thing is not getting any less awkward! I finished these pyjamas about 2 months ago and finally managed to convince my husband -the reluctant photographer- to take pictures of me, the reluctant model. I don't have an Instagram husband you see (check out the video, it is seriously funny). Now I will blame the sewing community on Instagram for this one. I never thought I would make myself a pair of pyjamas, but I was inspired by a few...

How to make a simple pouch in any size.

I have been making quite a few of these super simple flat pouches in different sizes, for slim rectangular objects like cameras, smart phones, portable GPSs etc. In the process, I have developed a very simple formula to easily determine the right pouch size for a nice snug fit. These only take about 30 minutes and make great gifts. There is also an ideal project for beginners as they are so easy to make. The Ileana dress, another great pattern by Compagnie M.

I have been a huge fan of the patterns by Compagnie M for a while now. Marte - the designer - has a style that I just really love. Her designs are unique, modern while also a bit retro, just fabulous. Needless to say, I didn't have to think twice to be part of another pattern test for her. The previous one - for her culottes - was so much fun. This test was for her Ileana dress, a dress with a circle or half circle skirt. I knew this one would be an instant hit with my daughter. "A skirt that flies up and down as...

A Minky Blanket for a Baby Shower

A couple of my friends are currently pregnant so I have a great excuse to start sewing for babies again! It is a wonderful way to make a personal and unique gift. There are lots of great ideas on Pinterest so I started a Pinterest board for things to sew for babies. You can check it out here. I got invited to a baby shower for my friend Karen. She expecting her second child, and she is not finding out whether she is having a boy or a girl. As I am not quite sure which gear she already has, I decided to keep it simple. I made a...
