Closing the blog tour with a Julia Dress

And so we have come to the last day of the blog tour. It has been so much fun and I hope it has inspired you.  To close the tour,  it is my turn to share what I've been sewing. As autumn has apparently started (it's still pretty hot in Sydney) I decided on a making a long sleeve knit dress, something that is just very comfortable to wear and doesn't require any ironing, who doesn't love that?  I noticed a while ago that Marte from Compagnie M had shared a tutorial on how to turn her Julia sweater pattern...

Creation by Shelley from Bartacks and Singletrack

A little introduction to Shelley: Shelley's sewing alter ego goes by the name of Lightning McStitch, and blogs at www.bartacksandsingletrack.blogspot.com There, she documents everything she makes in the hope of never repeating the same mistake twice. You can imagine for yourself how well that works. She sews everything needed for her two children, increasingly for herself, and about once a year (in lieu of a decent birthday gift) for her husband. 16th of March - Creation by Nicola from Create.nic

A little introduction to Nicola: Nic is the sewing enthusiast behind create.nic. She taught herself to sew when she was pregnant with her daughter over 5 years ago, and along the way became totally hooked! Creation by Jenya from While she was sleeping

A little introduction to Jenya: Jenya was born and grew up in Russia. Now she lives in regional Australia with her caring husband, two adorable daughters, a happy dog, a silly goldfish, two sewing machines and an overlocker. Yes, it is safe to say that her machines are a part of the family. She would never admit it publicly, but her machines have names! Jenya mostly sews for her girlies and a little for herself. If she doesn't get to sew for a while her eye begins to twitch. The twitch can only be cured by quality time spent with...

Creation by Natalie from Sewoutnumbered

A little introduction to Natalie: I rediscovered my love for sewing after the birth of my first child 6 years ago and now I’m a woman obsessed!   Who do I sew for? I started off sewing mostly for him but in the last few years I’ve started making a lot more for myself and I absolutely love it.   Why I sew?  I’m pretty much addicted to learning so I think the challenge of each new project and technique gets my brain working and the feeling of accomplishment at the end is the best! Why I blog?  To connect...
