Bamboo knit fabric.

This heavier bamboo has a bit more structure and is slightly thicker than our regular bamboo jerseys.

This fabric is very soft, very drapey and has a slight sheen on the right side giving it a luxurious look and feel.

It is also breathable making this fabric a dream to wear.

Suitable for: tops, sleepwear, dresses, cardigans.

Colour: Purple with strong blue undertone

Matching Gütermann thread: (Close but not perfect) 213 & 959, Closest Maraflex match: 315

Fabric Composition: 92% Bamboo + 8% Spandex   Oeko-Tex 100 certified

Width: ~150cm 

Weight: 265g/m2 (medium)

Drape: fluid/ drapey

Stretch: 50% crossgrain, 30% lengthwise

Opacity: Opaque

Care: Gentle cold wash - do not tumble dry - dry away from direct sunlight.

Shrinkage: 3%

I've made this now

I wrote a review after receiving this and prepping it for a dress. This afternoon I cut out and made the dress and the fabric is just beautiful - soft to feel and easy to sew. It all came together like a dream. I don't NEED any more but I'm thinking of some in another colour.

Beautiful bamboo

The colour and feel of this fabric is beautiful. I’ve washed it but not made up yet - so far, my testing is that it will sew well and it falls and looks great. Also washes and dries well.

Beautiful jersey!

I purchased this during the recent sale and it’s as lovely as all Maaike’s fabric. It’s been washed and put away until the holidays- it’s going to be another pinjarra tie-front cardie from Caroline and Cassie.
