These beautiful 'khadi' cottons are handspun and handwoven by skilled artisans in Bengal, India. The colours are all created with azo-free reactive dyes.
Our partner in India works with clusters of artisans ensuring they can continue to work in their homes and find a market for their craft. This style of cotton, known as Khadi, has been grown, spun and woven for generations in India.
It's soft, airy and perfect for a cheerful summer dress or blouse. Due to its handspun nature you might find slight variations in colour or tiny knots where weavers have joined new threads. We believe these perfectly imperfect aspects are part of their appeal.

This fabric is deliciously bright! And quite light. I don’t yet know what I am going to sew with it - I’ll have to give that some thought…..
