I made a reversible skirt! And I am absolutely stoked with the result!

This was the second item I made based on a pattern by Tadah Patterns. This is the Reversible Rara skirt sewing pattern.

This pattern is definitely suitable for beginners, it is so easy to make, and you have two skirts in the end. I really enjoyed making it.

I chose two fabrics from the Soft Cactus collection. On the green side I added some Light Yellow Piping as a nice detail.

The hem was finished off with a little bit of lace, I knew my girl would like that.

It has rapidly turned into one of my daughter's favourite pieces of clothing, I am confident she will wear this until it falls apart! Oh, and the other great thing about sewing: I could just make a hair band in the same fabrics to match, it is of course reversible too!

Getting her to pose in it was a bit harder this time, too many distractions. Now that it is spring, we have quite a few lizards in the back yard and she kept chasing them... then she become fascinated by rocks... and then she tried some silly poses.

Oh well, you get the idea, I think the skirt looks pretty cute on her.

This pattern was kindly donated by Tadah Patterns. Want to see more of their patterns? Check out their website here.
